Overview
Without a doubt, the Open Handset Consortium is one of the largest mobile device factions. The Android Alliance is merely a smaller faction within the Open Handset Consortium as Android was made by Google. It is a consortium of 84 other smaller factions (Samsung, Motorola, LG Electronics, etc) to develop open standards for mobile devices. Despite being a consortium of 84 smaller factions, it still has problems with political instability, with big names threatening to leave, such as the Samsung-tans.
