Character

CE-tan is the OS-tan that personifies Windows Compact Embedded (Windows CE), often depicted as a diminutive and fairy-like figure. CE-tan is known for being joyful and able to fly. Due to the Sega Dreamcast using a modified version of Windows CE, she is sometimes depicted standing on or around the Dreamcast's swirl logo. Despite her small size, she is a cheerful and lively character.

Appearance

CE-tan is portrayed as a small, palm-sized fairy with transparent wings. She has orange hair styled into twintails with red bows and sometimes wears a frilly headband. Her outfit includes a pink nurse uniform, black leggings, and boots. She often carries a USB plug-shaped staff with a red ribbon, acting like a wand.

According to the Trouble Windows OS-tan Fan Book on August 8th, 2003, the Windows CE personification appeared.

Notes and Trivia

  • Occasionally referred to as a pest or dung beetle.
  • Sometimes associated with the Sega Dreamcast due to the console's use of Windows CE.
  • There was trouble trying to get the correct translation for CE-tan in the OS-tan fanbook as it mentions both August 8 and August 12 because itm mentions 2k for sone reason. I'm not entirely sure which darte is correct so lets just have both for now.
